A life built around Africa
Schalk Pienaar Safaris was not created simply as a business.
It grew naturally from a life spent hunting, exploring and experiencing the African wilderness.
Becoming a Professional Hunter in 2006 was an important milestone, but the journey started long before that. Hunting has always been a part of my life, and the more time I spent in the bush, the more I realised that what I wanted most was to share that experience with others.
Over the years, guiding hunters took me across Namibia and eventually to other parts of Africa. Each destination brought new landscapes, different wildlife and different challenges, but the fundamentals remained the same: respect for the land, respect for the animals and respect for the people who place their trust in us.
As the operation developed, so did our philosophy.
We deliberately chose not to become a large commercial hunting operation.
Instead, we chose to remain personal.
We chose quality over quantity.
And we chose to build relationships with clients and professional hunters who share our values.
