Who we are
This website is run by Schalk Pienaar Safaris Namibia, Farm Masindi 370, Gobabis, Namibia. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at [email protected].
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our contact form we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, mobile number, nationality, preferred check-in date, the subject and species you select, and your message. With each enquiry we also store your IP address and browser type, for security and to help us deal with spam and misuse.
If you leave a comment on a page, we receive your name, email address and comment. Once approved, your comment is shown on the website with your name; your email address is never shown.
We do not ask for payment details on this website.
How we use it
We use your details to answer your enquiry, plan your safari and keep in touch about your booking. Your enquiry is stored in our website administration and emailed to the people who handle enquiries, and we send you a confirmation email. These emails are delivered through our email service provider, and our website developer and hosting provider can access the website data to maintain the site. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list without your consent.
Cookies and third parties
The website uses a session cookie and a security token so that forms work and cannot be misused. If we use Google Analytics to measure how the website is used, Google sets its own cookies for that.
Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Videos on our pages are embedded from YouTube, which may set cookies and receive your IP address when a page with a video is opened. If you follow a link to another website, such as a booking platform or social media, that website's own policy applies.
How long we keep it, and your choices
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any booking that follows. You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it: email [email protected].
We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version is always on this page.
