Schalk Pienaar was born and raised in Namibia on his family’s 31,000-acre cattle and Arabian horse ranch, where he developed a deep love for Namibia’s wildlife at an early age.
In 2006 he became a freelance professional hunter, working for some of the largest outfitters in the country. In 2015 he founded Schalk Pienaar Safaris Namibia at the family ranch, turning that experience into a bespoke safari outfit.
