Namibia's miniature antelope
The Damara Dik-Dik is one of Africa's smallest antelope and is closely associated with Namibia's dry northern and central regions.
Standing only around 15–16 inches at the shoulder, it weighs approximately 10–15 lbs. Its delicate appearance and long nose give it enormous character.
Hunting the Dik-Dik
Dik-dik hunting is about observation rather than distance. These tiny antelope are secretive and remarkably well camouflaged.
Finding a mature male and getting a clean opportunity is a special achievement—and a reminder that some of Africa's most challenging hunts come in very small packages. The Dik-Dik is part of Africa’s tiny ten antelope species.
